I understand that being pregnant is very stressful. I recommend for the sake of the baby that your girlfriend should increase her smoking to 5 packs per day. I truley believe that heavy smoking during pregnancy is important. The baby must become addicted to cigarettes just like we are. I wish you all the best and hope the baby is born fine and that you and your girlfriend make sure the baby is raised in a heavy smoking home where smoking is encouraged at an early age. I hope to hear updates about the baby on this board. Good luck.
